"Coldest Winter" Kanye West

No signs of the Mr. West on this new music video for the Coldest Winter of “808s & Heartbreak”. The video was directed by the highly acclaimed Nabil Elderkin and it’s a visually satisfying feature that displays the emotion Kanye exudes on the track.

"It’s pretty minimalistic. It’s slow and very visual. I just wanted to catch the vibe of the song and not get too literal. Because the lyrics are very close to Kanye and go much deeper than the video goes, obviously hearing the song you know it’s very emotional." -Elderkin

Limpo Rocha

Salvador, Bahia, Brazil–Afro-Brazilian street artist Limpo Rocha began his takeover of the street art game here. Expanding is an understatement for what he is doing now. Limpo himself is an ageless wonder, and his work reflects that. Known for his whimsical and youthful portraits he has traveled the world to promote his style of Brazilian street art. His work has been exhibited in Sweden, Brazil, France and the U.S. He is also a seasoned veteran and multiple winner of Studio Seved Secret Wars. In 2007 I had the chance of spending some time while in Salvador with Limpo and his crew. The city loves his work, I saw commissioned pieces by Limpo everywhere: covering favela walls, bordering beaches and adding to the beauty of old town streets. Limpo deserves all the attention he is getting. Who are we to deny him more? Take a look for yourselves.

Studio Seved

Studio Seved is an underground street art competition that has held secret battles in over 20 countries including Sweden, Demark, France, Great Britain, Ireland and Germany. And they’ve only been around for three years! Think of the competition as the Fight Club of the underground urban art world. I think the way they are eventizing urban art is unique and fresh. Artists have a giant blank white wall of a canvas stretching over 9 ft high and 12 feet long on which to manifest their attack. By the way, they can only use the color black.

Fred Lebain Photography

Fred Lebain took images of various areas in New York City, each one of them an occasion of a first visit to the location, where he photographed and then printed as a large poster. Later, he returned to the same spots for a second visit, capturing a larger framed shot in which he aligned the poster documenting his first visit to the current scene, a recurrence of the past, taken in present time or present mind.

Rihanna Casted In Upcoming Movie?

According to Star Magazine Rihanna is set to play the lead role in the upcoming movie “About Face”. The magazine also states that her acting skills are not up to par and she has been asked to take acting classes:

She's landed the lead role in About Face, which Starclaims will see Ri-Ri as “a fashion designer who has to change her ways to win the heart of the man she loves, similar to the 1975 Diana Ross film, Mahogany….”

“No one is sure she has any acting skills. She’s a bit stiff and has to learn how to emote more…No one wants another Madonna on their hands — someone who can sing but can’t act.”

Rihanna performed her latest single "Rudeboy" on Ellen the other day. This is the best performance we’ve seen from Rihanna since her "Pon De Replay Days". She may not be much of a dancer but homegirl is killing those moves.
