Blood Lamp

This Blood Lamp doesn’t look that bloody, but the way you turn it on can be considered gruesome. It only works once, and you need to add of a drop of your blood to activate it! The idea is to stop and think about how badly you need light before you use it. Designer Mike Thompson created the lamp in order to draw attention to how much energy we waste.

What if power came at a cost to the individual?

The average American consumes 3383kwh of energy per year. That’s equivalent to leaving the light on in 4 rooms for a whole year. The simple flick of a switch allows us to power appliances and gadgets 24/7 without a thought to where it comes from and the cost to the environment.

For the lamp to work one breaks the top off, dissolves the powder, and uses their own blood to power a simple light. By creating a lamp that can only be used once, the user must consider when light is needed the most, forcing them to rethink how wasteful they are with energy, and how precious it is.

Me and my homie don't play when it comes to food! And Papa Johns is one of our dear favorites. it hurt when they told us our wait time would be TWO HOURS! But was super hype when they came in fourty minutes lol.

 The entire pepperoni pizza is for me, the sausage for him, and we split the chicken between us. Oh....

... there were more cans of Arizona. We have a sick addiction to Watermelon Arizona, the Kiwi Strawberry was only purchased because there was no more Watermelon.

SHOUT OUT TO COOKIES-N-CREAM! Their clothing, their mobile store, their team, their STORY is so epic. If you haven't had the opportunity to see them live and in action then you need to stop slacking and get out there. I first came across them at 40oz summer 2010 (photo above), as soon as I seen the truck I had to get a word with one of the people behind this wonder, P Loch and he gave me the overview of the companies come up and mission.

Magazine Fiend

I am a FIEND for magazines. I subscribe to many digital and printed magazines from XXL and King to Miss Behave and i-D, to Time Out New York and Inc Magazine. The list goes on, not to mention the random pass bys and buys. Recently I've decided to start a Nicki Minaj magazine collection (yes i am #teamnickiminaj). So far I have three, I have four being shipped including Black Book, Rolling Stone, Fader, and Vibe (I'm so serious). I was also very fortunate to FINALLY acquire the Forbes 400 magazine spread on Warren Buffet and my role model Jay-Z. Plus I had to pick up the VMan magazine spread on Kanye West, I first heard about it on RicciSteez.com and had to see what the fuss was about, the entire magazine itself is pure uncut cocaine! New magazine added to my subscription list.

Unplanned Day w/ The Bestie

On my days off of my nine to five I like to stay home and work on 34D's upcoming releases. But when my best friend hit me up to join her get her new tattoo I lugged my lazy bum out to Harlem. I love her new tat, she's got like nine, I have six, I need to finish a couple of mine.

Pink Blackberry

I came across this photo on tumblr and went crazy! I googled all over where I can buy a pink Blackberry. I came across this article from pocket-lint.com
